1st month (June 11th - July 10th)

June 11th 2007

11:01 - here is my very own Mum & Dad, more than 11 hours before I decided to pop my head out & say 'what's up, Doc?'  They thought I would come before 15:00, but I was busy sleeping then. Sorry you guys. They apparently had a great time waiting though, so I don't feel too bad.

22.41 - here I am, only 3 minutes old. I cried a little, but so did my parents, so that's ok right? Mum did a great job with the whole pushing process, helped by my very special midwife Cecile and even more special doctor Ghada.

22:53 - I was seriously hungry, but no one wanted to listen! I tried crying for a few minutes, but that didn't seem to work either!

22:55 - no boob, so I tried to change tactics; pouting instead of crying. I mean, I can see the boob, right, so why not point it my way and make the new guy happy?

Is that a camera, Daddy?  I wanna play!

23:16 - OK, I'll play with Daddy for a while, as long as that promised 'yummy, yum-yum' will happen this side of midnight.

23:38 - that was fun! Now they are all talking about giving me a bath before dinner, so I guess I'll play the 'cute & cuddly' bit a while longer. There is also rumours that I'll get a shot before dinner as well, maybe that will fun?

23.12.1992 - here is my Big Sister Kelley with my Dad, 14 and a half years ago. I will meet her in 29 days - jippii!!

23:56 - OK, the shot did nothing to stop the hunger - they stuck my arm with something shiny!! Of course I cried. I howled. Then I stopped, waiting with Dad for the bath-thingie. Apparently I need a hairwash, whatever that is.

June 12th 2007

00:44 - freshly washed and smelling good! New clothes and pampers. Mummyyyyyyy!! My tummy is really, really empty. No, really, I'm not kidding. Nothing inside. Nada. Zilch. If I make a cute face, will you give me at least one boob? I'll save the other one for later tonight, I promise.

00:50 - it worked!!!!  And I got the right one, the one I've had my pretty blue eyes on for more than 2 hours now. I'm happy, and sleepy. I think I will reward my brave Mummy by sleeping until 8 o'clock tomorrow morning. She sure has deserved it.

00:54 - here I'm holding on to Mum while I'm eating. It's safer that way, since it is my first time and all.

11:09 - Daddy went home last night and came back this morning with Grandma Mira. But I need my beautysleep, so you guys just have to be patient before adoring me more.

11:38 - it didn't take long before Mummy went for the liverpaste sammitch that Grandma brought. Apparently she has been waiting for this for 9 months. Why Mummy? When there is boob around? Beats me.

11:37 - I thought I'd better take a nap.

11:39 - here I am, dreaming of........you guessed it  :-)). Boob!

13:11 - I know it's been said before, but I have the most beautifulliest Mum in the whole wide world! I'm gonna marry her when I grow up. Twice!

13:12 - Daddy and Grandma Mira brought a forest of flying Teddybears! Amazing!!

13:26 - Daddy brought a cute blue doggy for Mum. It had a shiny ear that made Mummy cry a bit; grownups sure are strange sometimes. I'll sleep some more I think.

13:27 - Doctor Ghada came!! Yipii - Mum sure likes that lady. So do I, 'cause she made my day last night. Or made my night yesterday. Or something like that. I'll sleep some more.

19:10 - I'm alone with Mum while Dad is preparing for some kind of smoking with friends. I like hiding my hands a lot.

20:08 - Dad has a cigar-evening planned, and Jelena is the first to arrive with some great flowers. Here she is with Grandma Mira.

21:15 - Kuma Ana enjoys some of Miras homebaked cookies. She arrived with Tomislav.

21:16 - Ana finished her cookies and is NOT happy that Sandra ate the last one!

22:49; With Sladjana, Sandra, Vlada, Tomislav, Alec and Joakim all arrived, rakija from Vranje passed around, Daddy got the Cuban cigars out and asked the Swede for advice on how to light them.

22:50 - apparently they need a good sniff before light-up, that's what Tomislav said.

22:51 - sniffing it is then.

22:52 - lightup with Alexander (cool name dude!) and Daddy.

22:53 - proud father with friends. Serious pilot-types all.

22:53 - then we called from the hospital to check on Dad. We smelled the smoke all the way here! Mummy told Daddy that back in Beograd, Granddad Predrag had an even bigger party going, with 39 persons all ripping his shirt off. Way to go Deda! Wish I was there.

00:59 - uncle Torstein came straight from the simulator to congratulate Daddy. He promised me to show me some neat tricks when I grow a little bit older. Mummy looked a teeny bit worried when she heard this. But uncle T, I'm ready!  Do I need to learn how to walk first? I have the tools, if you have the time  ;-)

12:05 - Daddy came at last, but apparently he smoked sooo much Rakija yesterday that he fell asleep in our bed. I thought I'd be patriotic and sleep a bit with him; don't want my old man to sleep alone you know.

13:46 - I got my own chair! Cool! Who's your Daddy? A great place to nap, trust me on this.

14:15 - we are home in Jumeirah, and not only did I get a new chair; my folks got me a minibed as well! Amazing people. I tried it out and found it to be an impeccable place to sleep & poop.

14:17 - Uncle Torstein dropped by immediately because he just could not wait any longer. Can't say I blame you uncle, for a little boy only a day and a half old, I'm kinda cute if I can say so myself.

14:42 - Here I am, home and in dreamland.

14:43 - as I said a minute ago, I was dreaming. Then they wanted a family photo.  OK, I'm not the crying type, so I played along. But there better be a boob or two at the end of all this, ok Mum?

14:43 - I like being the center of attention.

15:00 - life is.......good.

15:19 - my big friend Hugo came with gifts, together with his mum Linda and daddy Joakim and little John. What's this, my birthday or something?

15:26 - I'm awake guys. Come and look, it does not happen very often. I'm also a little peckish. Anyone for a boob?

17:24 - Mummy, you are my hero. Nuff said.

17:37 - after food comes change of nappies. I don't particularly subscribe to that, I feel once a day is enough. OK Mum?

17:38 - I like to sleep and pose at the same time.

20:09 - a nap upstairs with Dad. It was great!

20:15 - Mum is always ready with the camera.

20:26 - did I mention that I like to sleep?

20:26 - but I do NOT like it when the flash is interupting my sweet dreams!

20:27 - Daddy, I'll cry if you continue!

20:27 - listen. I'll count to 5, then I'll start crying, dobro? It will be loud!

20:28 - what comes after 2 again? Mum? Any clue?

20:39 - never mind, I'll bite instead! Right, no teeth. I will have to talk with Uncle Torstein, he'll have some cool tricks that I can play on my dad..

00:51 - guys, I'm only 50 hours old and tiiiiired, can we go to bed soon?

14:23 - Neil and Aga came by to say hello while I was sleeping. They should have stopped by last night; I was awake from 2 am to 6 this morning. It was fun!

20:01 - Mum's girlfriend is pretty! What's your name, sweeety? Auntie Aleksandra? I dig your name auntie. You looking for a boyfriend? If so; I'm your man!  I'm still single, but don't expect that to last, I'm at least as good looking as my Dad, will learn walk soon, have a car upstairs in my bedroom & lots of neat tricks to show you once I've spent some quality time with uncle Torstein.

20:01 - oh yeah; I have my eyes on you honey.

20:31 - Daddy is awake again, and he just changed me. Good Daddy. I will try to let you sleep more tonight if you play with me for awhile.

20:31 - did you see the beautiful girl, Daddy? She was awesome!

20:32 - when I close my eyes I can imagine her with the greatest clarity.

20:32 - I wonder when she will be back?

20:46 - asleep in Grandma Mira's arms. Boobs, girlfriends, cars......... can life be any better?

20:46 - I'm happy.

23:23 - after my first bath at home. Didn't much care for it, but found out that I could surprise Mum & Dad Big Time by using my built-in watersprayer and hose them down! Everywhere!!  Yeah, this could be my favourite plaything in the future.

23:23 - I'm hungry and sucking on my hand is the best I can do for the time being. Mum; dry me fast & then I'm ready to be boobyfied. My first tick was definitely Parus major as Nick predicted.

23:30 - all changed and ready for bed.

I decided to give Mum & Dad a peaceful night and slept from 2 to 6, then a quick-boob before slumbering peacefully with Mum in her bed (jippii) until noon. Ain't I the bestest baby ever or what?

14:17 - newly changed and enjoying the daylight with Daddy.

14:20 - a little stroll with Grandma Mira.

14:50 - tired and happy.

16:50 - sleepytime with Dad, waiting for our guests to arrive.

17:54 - Mummy, should I wake up now? Are the guys here yet?

18:07 - Jovana and Aleksandar (cool name for a cool father-to-be) came to say hi. Wait you guys, I have a few more minutes of zzzzzz-time left on the clock, but I will be with you shortly.

18:07 - same goes for you Ivana; I know that you were Mum's flatmate and all before Daddy came on his white horse/silver airplane to whisk her away, but I'm a teeny bit busy now, dobro?

18:11 - hi Gaga and Aleksandra; smile to Daddy.....I have not learnt how to do that yet, so I'll sleep a bit more.

18:19 - serious discussions about how babies are made. No? OK, how the stork comes with them then. Don't worry auntie Jovana, it's a piece of cookie. You got a little girl in there? Can we play when she comes?

19:44 - that was a lot of new aunties to meet in one day Mum, very exhausting. I think I will just close my babyblues and dream of you. At least this way I can be awake all night and entertain you and Daddy so you don't get bored. But no bath tonight right, I'm pretty clean, I promise!

June 16th 2007

Another quiet night with sleeping, pooping, boobing and not much else. Mum and Dad learned that even though my pampers are 'newborn' they are still too big. So they had to change my sleeping-suits three times 'cause I made them wet. I might be small, but I sure can peep!

12:56 - morning change with Grandma Mira. I slept until 12:30 which put a (tired) smile on Mummy dear. Here I'm closing my eyes, thinking of what kind of trick I can play on Grandma on my next change.....

17:26 - hear no evil.

20:08 - I'm very relaxed, have not changed position the last two hours. And guys; I got Grandma just fine with my newly discovered spraying device that I have somewhere below my tummy. I WILL use it again before my evening bath.

20:08 - my friend Doggie and me. If you guys wonder what I'm dreaming about; that's for me to know and for you to find out.

23:57 - listen parents; I do NOT like to be bathed this late! And this is how I look like when I don't like something.

An excellent night of sleep & poop, before my Daddy had to go to get my birth certificate processed. Apparently quite a process, but I'm sure he will succeed in the end. Since he was gone for most of the day, I chilled with Grandma Mira and Mum, waiting for my evening visit.

19:15 - just had another evening meal, napping and preparing for the next one.

19:23 - the stream of goodlooking future girlfriends seems endless Dad; is this normal? If so, I like it. A lot.

19:52 - don't worry Jelena, as soon as I wake up we'll talk.

20:01 - here I am in my 'Little Bear' T-shirt. Cute, eh?

20:11 - OK, we'll communicate by mind. My eyelids are a bit heavy just now.

23:54 - freshly bathed and.........asleep. Preparing for the big awake tonight!

Hi guys. I'm back. Last night was excellent; I have absolutely no clue why my Mummy & Daddy were complaining.....

We woke up early to go to the American Hospital to have a hearingtest and a bloodtest, and I got to ride my push-chair for the first time!

00:41 - you see Daddy, it's late and I'm sleeping. Maybe you should do the same? This is my favourite sleeping-position, I feel very relaxed holding on to my ears.

10:30 - we have an appointment at 11 am, and Daddy fixed me up in my carseat.

11:30 - Do I look crosseyed you say? Hey; they're gonna stick my pretty footsie with a needle in an hour, wouldn't you?

10:59 - with my Dad's built-in pilots attention to timings, here we are with one minute to spare. Cool buggy, eh?

11:20 - my hearing turned out to be 100% perfect. Duuh!

11:30 - hey honey, you can check my vitals anytime.

23:59 - evening bliss after the rather rude awakening of Daddy. Good night everybody.

17:27 - having lunch with my people, after being awake and cheerful for more than 2 hours, a new personal max!

17:44 - talking in my sleep, doesn't everybody?

18:01 - auntie Sandra came bearing gifts; I got the coolest caps in Arabia!

18:03 - me in my cool cap. And look; no teeth!  Sometimes I can be a handful, but a little boy has to do what a little boy has to do.

18:13 - This is the bestest time; surrounded by pretty girls, a full tummy and a clean nappy. I'm a happy chappy.

20:52 - bath time finally finished. I really showed Mum & Dad how loud & long I can cry, they were quite impressed.

20:52 - the best with the whole bath-thing is afterwards. I really, really like the afterwards.

20:54 - and I don't even need that pacifier-thingie, I come self-equipped.

20:54 - what Daddy? Want to see my baby-blues? OK, I can open the right eye, but something I can't see is obstructing my left one.

21:18 - poor Mummy, it's been a long day. But you know I love you right? Dad says you are doing GREAT!

Not much happening today, apart from getting my Birth Certificate and Dad did my passport application with Thor.

22:18 - I'm definitely growing, Mum says I'm looking cuter every day.

Another quiet day at home, waiting for Grandpa Predrag to arrive from Beograd. The biggest news of today is that I took a long bath without screaming my head off. I giggled a bit, but Dad thought it might be tummycramps. And I'm much more alert now, so progress is definitely there.

12:25 - my first bottle today. I was too cranky to latch onto Mummy dear. The bottle made me burp a lot, so I'll try to stick to my favourite boob from now on. Sorry Mummy.

22:20 - after the refreshing bath and boob galore, Daddy is burping me. He is the main burper, I'm the cute little burpee.

Can't wait to see Grandpa in 8 short hours, might even stay awake until he gets here!  Nah, just kidding Dad.  Nighty nite from us.

13:01 - Granddaddy Predrag came in the morning; here I am trying to convince him to tell the rest of my family that one nappy-change pr. day is more than enough. A tooshie can actually be too clean, right? I have a feeling that my tush might be. Too clean I mean.

13:01 - another day, another nappy. Now I want some booby, pretty please? With sugar on top?

16:05 - here we are eating dinner. Hey!! Where am I? Helllooo, I'm kind of the Main Dude in this story, right?

Please leave the automatic frontal sprinkling system turned off for the duration of your change; it will be appreciated. In turn, I will endeavour to make the change as fast as possible for your added comfort.
