Karaa Dairy Pond

A new site discovered by Dave Clark in 2006.

Located 104 km southeast of Dubai along the Dubai - Al Ain Road, 33 km north of Al Ain, on the west side of the main road. After the 34KM post (to Al Ain) you pass a Rest Area, then 2 light blue tanks, then a sign to Bida bin Ahmed. Take this exit. You will pass Karaa Water Station.

Once heading west you continue for 600 meters until you see a dairy farm on the left side. The small pond is immediately west of the dairy farm fence.

Various waders and passerines are present, but no major rarities up to the end of 2007.
