The Shell Birdwatching Guide to the U.A.E. by Colin Richardson and Simon Aspinall was published in 1998, and is still a valuable tool for the visiting birder. Quite a few of the sites covered in the book are no longer existing or accessible, and an update to the book can be found here.This website aims to cover all existing birding sites in the UAE, updated when changes to the sites occur.
