Fujairah Port Beach is close to Fujairah Port, with a drainage channel, beach and open sea.

It is called Fujairah Port Beach on page 52 in the Shell Birdwatching Guide.

The beach and sea is best viewed in the afternoon with the sun at your back. It can produce good seabirds passing offshore, and is one of the top sea-watching sites on the East Coast now that Al Ghurfa is closed.

In winter the beach can hold thousands of gulls and terns, including Caspian Gull (very common), Steppe Gull (probably very common), Black-headed Gull (very common), Sooty Gull (very common), Heuglin's Gull (common), Slender-billed Gull (common), Great Black-headed Gull (scarce), Lesser Black-backed (Baltic) Gull (very uncommon), Lesser Crested Tern (very common), Sandwich Tern (very common) and Common Tern (common to very common, bot red-billed nominate race and black-billed eastern race).

In spring and summer Bridled Tern, White-cheeked Tern, Little Tern and Saunders's Tern are all common.

Do not forget to check the drainage channel at the northern end; it often holds waders and marsh terns. Red-necked Phalaropes are regular here.
