All records will be entered in an
advanced bird recorder program for PC
called Wildlife Recorder, available from Wildlife Computing
In what format should you submit records?
In any format you are comfortable with, as long as they are submitted. Photo-copied pages of logbooks are acceptable if no other options are available. The Bird Recorder is relatively fluent in English and all Scandinavian languages, less so in French, and his German and Finnish is all but non-existent.
I have listed a few options below, in order of preference:
1.
If you happen to be one of the thousands of birders already using the Wildlife Recorder program, in "Trips" just highlight the dates you wish to send by holding down the Ctrl-key and click on the dates in question. Then right-click, choose Export (make sure "Export Both" & "Export Selected Records" are selected!), give it a name and e-mail me the relevant file.
2.
If you have entered your records in any other bird recording program, please export your records as either an Excel-file or any other comma-separated file (*.csv) and e-mail me the relevant file. Wildlife Recorder have a strong import-engine, and chances are excellent that it will be recognised.
3.
If you are using Excel or Access to keep your records on a PC, please send me an Excel-file with your records. Wildlife Recorder will be able to import them.
4.
An e-mail listing the birds you saw is also possible. I will manually enter the sightings.
5.
A photocopy of your sightings can be airmailed.

formally accepted by the Emirates Bird Records Committee ![]()
